Soniblend polymer feed system

The sound choice for polymer feed

The proven SoniBlend polymer feed unit uses a unique acoustic mixer to provide practically perfect blending of a water and liquid polymer solution. Its compact design allows a space efficient installation. The stainless steel mounting plate can be wall or stand mounted. The SoniBlend unit is constructed in an open configuration using easily removable components for simple cleaning and maintenance.

This liquid polymer feed system uses a remarkable mixer to efficiently blend polymer and water into a homogenous solution. The only moving part is an in-line vibrating stainless steel reed that oscillates at nearly 500 Hz, providing just the right amount of energy to the liquid polymer and water to form a well mixed polymer solution. The mixer component has been time-tested for over 15 years, and is so robust the we offer a standard 5 year warranty on it in most applications. The driving force for mixing is the flow of liquid through the mixer, so there are no motors, shafts, impeller, bearings, or seals to wear out. This method of mixing is much more efficient than baffles and chambers that leave unmixed “fish eyes” and globules of polymer in the water. Hence, neat polymer usage can be significantly less for a given amount of solids to be flocculated.

The SoniBlend feed system is simplicity at its essence. The single pump Model 135 features include a single peristaltic dosing pump with digital control and, 100:1 turndown. Capacity up to 3.54 GPH, ON-OFF control panel, dual adjusting rotameters with 0-10 GPM dilution water capacity. Heavy wall polypropylene pipe and fittings, solenoid valve for water control, pre-mixer and dual pressure gauges. Optional pipe and multiple dosing pumps, 4-20mA pacing, alternate mixer configurations, increased output, and enhanced controls for automation.

Maintenance on the peristaltic pump could not be easier. There is no routine clogging of the head so no regular cleaning. Priming is as simple as pushing a button. The pump can run dry without damage. When a pump tube finally wears out, just install another. The pump head is rebuildable and replacement parts are readily available.

The SoniBlend polymer feed system can accommodate applications from the smallest dewatering device to multiple large units, including belt presses, centrifuges, sludge boxes, and the like.
